Lam often makes use of both traditional (oil, acrylic, charcoal, pencil, etc.) and non-traditional (nails, sand, plywood, etc.) materials to produce tranquil and thought-provoking pieces, which resonate with the viewer long after their first encounter. While exploring the intricate relationship between objects and materials, his works are always given a touch of humanity that makes them more approachable.
